This isn’t about just getting a house, this is about getting a whole new future for Khai, for his wife and children, for his children’s children. Though Khai has a job, works hard, and spends wisely–able to afford mortgage payments–he has no life savings and will never be able to be ahead of the curve to save enough for a down payment on a home. He realizes that he will never live more than month to month in his current situation. But through the Emmanuel House program, Networked Savings, Khai has saved 11,000 towards a downpayment in just 18 months. That’s a downpayment on a modest home; the gateway to a new future. Through the Emmanuel House community, they have made friends and learned how to buy, and take care of, a home. Networked Savings made it possible, love made it happen.
